A guest post by Janet Eriksson . . .
Lord, thank You for the beauty of the autumn season. As I look at all the colors in the landscape, I am reminded what an amazing artist You are. Your beauty is beyond anything I can comprehend. But when I see the gorgeous hues of fall, I know You are so creative and You care deeply about Your creation.
When I feel the changes in the autumn air, and enjoy the sights, sounds, and scents, I am reminded to focus on You with my whole being. It’s in You that I live and move and have my being. How amazing! You are always interesting, always exciting, always filled with love and the joy of being together. You delight my heart.
The autumn season is a great reminder of the rhythms of rest and renewal You have created for my life. Help me learn how to live from a place of rest — even during times of busy activity that autumn brings. Help me to fully enjoy and stay focused on Your presence in all that I do.
I ask, Lord, that You bless my family and friends during this autumn time and in the coming year. Pour out Your grace, healing, protection, and love on each one. Remind them (and me!) every day of how amazing You are.
Thank You for autumn, Lord. Most of all, thank You for being You.
In Jesus’ name. Amen
