Lord Jesus, I give you my day.
Help me to live in the “unforced rhythms of grace,” as You teach me in Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG).
Lord Jesus, I want to follow Your example and do exactly what You would have me do today — no more, no less.
Help me be salt and light in my little corner of the world.
I want to be fully present today for the things You put in front of me. Your plan may be different from mine, and for sure Your plan is the best.
Prompt me to keep my eyes, ears, and heart open to Your presence and the things You are showing me.
When I get frustrated and upset, remind me to stop, breathe, and step into Your peace. Whatever I do today, let it be done from a place of rest, always trusting in You.
Most of all, Lord, help me to just be Your child today. The most important thing I can do all day is to be with You and to just be Your kid. Thank You for such an amazing blessing, that the Creator of the universe wants to spend the day with me.
In Jesus’ name. Amen
